  • Farm Walks around Vallum provide a good excuse to build your appetite.  We have declared the pond a Wildlife haven and see a good variety of nesting birds. We have information boards along the walks which tell you about the birds and animals you might see.
  • Each Tuesday we have a Mum and Baby/Toddler Group in the Tea Room where we provide crafts / cooking opportunities for the little ones and a chance to sit down, relax and chat for the grown ups.  These sessions run from 10-11am.  If you have not been before it is a good idea to call us and let us know you are coming.  The session is currently subsidised, costing just £2.50 for the activity and the children's snack.
  • The children's play area is great for kids from toddlers upwards and is surrounded by a large grassy area where the children can run around safely. Learn more...
  • Also on site we have Bywell Smokery producing outstanding smoked fish and game (Bywell Smokery is only open to the public on Fridays and Saturdays) and North Country Growers who produce a great range of tasty, organic vegetables on site.
  • We are on Hadrian's Wall!  Take a walk along this historic path and come back for a cup of tea.
