No matter what time of day you visit us, you can enjoy local produce at its best.

From all day breakfasts to light lunches and home made pies, we have something for everybody. We love to bake and everything is home made. We have won Gold Taste Awards for our Quiche, Gingerbread, Brownie and ice creams.

Ken and Tracy Holland of North Country Growers have 2 acres of land at Vallum where they grow everything from tomatoes to beetroot. We respond to their gluts of produce by making chutnies, casseroles & soups. So when you visit Vallum, the lunch you eat may have been picked only hours earlier, from only a few hundred yards away. You can also buy our produce in the form of frozen ready meals and matured chutnies in the ice cream parlour.

Our signature dishes are the Smokery Slate, from Artisan producer Bernard Lynch of Bywell Smokery, located at Vallum and the Ploughman’s Lunch with our home roasted ham, local free range egg and wonderful cheeses. We love these dishes because they use all the best of what we have on our doorstep.

Our Sunday Lunch was nominated 'Best Sunday Lunch in the North East' by many customers in the 2011 Northumberland Tourist Awards, receiving 'highly recommended'. We only use local meat and everything is cooked fresh on the day.
