Vallum is a growing community of artisan producers who share a passion for traditionally produced food, drink and craft. We treasure the rich history of this magical site, where the Moffitt family has farmed dairy cattle and crops for many years. Now our artisans look forward to sharing the tastes of Vallum country with you.

VALLUM KITCHEN GARDEN

Shops and Artisans

New for 2015, we are now running our own Kitchen Garden.  A steep learning curve for any grower, the 1/4 acre plot is already abundant with produce.  We have tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers and chilli’s in the poly tunnels and potatoes, kale, sprouts, courgette, fennel, celeriac and so much more in the beds.  We even have a friend tinkering with edible and cut flowers so … watch this space!

We are grateful to our gardening team for their commitment and experience which they have brought to Vallum along with bags of enthusiasm!  We aren’t so keen on the rabbits mind!!

Bakery

The handmade pies, breads and patisserie which emerge daily from our Little Bakery are justly renowned all over the region and nationally, having received several prestigious Great Taste Awards. Our egg custard tart is among our best sellers, as is our Mediterranean vegetable tart and our steak and game pies. Ring the Patisserie and Deli to find out what we have in each day.

VALLUM LITTLE DAIRY

Dairy

Our handmade cheese and ice cream are made here at Vallum the traditional way in Vallum’s Little Dairy.

Our Colommier, Fine Fettle and cream cheeses are served in the Tea Room and Restaurant and they’re so popular there’s a waiting list at our Patisserie and Deli, so please ring to check availability, tel 01434 672 360
