North Country Organics took the first batch of Seedlings down to the field in the old Fergie Tractor Today
Ken was enjoying the sunshine today and so were his seedlings! Fresh from the specially heated and lit poly tunnel the baby carrots and beetroots were enjoying their first pure sunshine and fresh air since they germinated.
We are really excited about hosting a wedding at Vallum and with 230 guests to feed we are doing our VERY BEST to use as much local produce as possible.
Bernard from Bywell Smokery is producing his fantastic hot and cold smoked salmon and hot smoked chicken for the starter and we have Ian Byatt supplying the pork from Moorhouse Farm. Ken and Tracy Holland are supplying their home grown baby veg specifically cultivated for the event and Baynes from Northumbrian Pedigree will providing their amazing cream for the gratin dauphinois potatoes .. just a few of the local buinesses contributing to this exciting occasion.
We are letting the ice cream bar run all night so guests can enjoy our ice cream until 2am!
the bride and groom will enjoy a waitressed three course meal in their marquee courtesy of Waltons Marquees. We cant wait!
